A New Season Opening on Koh Ra (News)

Koh Ra Ecolodge is just about to reopen for the 2012-2013 season. We are excited about making this the best year ever by building on our past success with the volunteer program and supporting the conservation team. This is your chance to come and help out in-between relaxing, hiking, diving, birdwatching, swimming, kayaking, and just having fun. Come with a friend or come alone. Either way, you'll get a warm welcome from fellow conservation-minded guests and volunteers. Ecotourism is new in Thailand, but necessary. You can make a difference by helping us to be successful. So, please tell your friends, sign up here and on FB, Twitter, etc., and please come see to Koh Ra soon. You can use the contact form to ask questions or go straight to the Reservation Request Form. A juvenile green turtle was caught accidentally in the fishing net of a local Molken fisherman, who kindly invited us over to see this beautiful and endangered animal. Guests and staff at the ecolodge joined Tom Duerden -- Researcher for Naucrates -- in taking scientific measurements and samples before releasing it safely back into the ocean.
